<B>1805<1/2 C> Large 5, With Stems. C-4, B-4, R.2. Die State 1. VF25 NGC. Fine 12 EAC.</B></I> Large 5 touches drapery; Highest leaf below center of S. Walter Breen described seven different die states of this variety, while Ron Manley recognized only two states. Breen stated that the earliest examples were struck from perfect dies, although no such coins have been seen by specialists today. The obverse has a crack between the 1 and 8, and a faint crack through the base of LIBERTY. There is no evidence of the later die crack from the base of 5 to the drapery. Pleasing dark brown surfaces with maroon coloration on the obverse and lighter chestnut tones on the reverse. The surfaces have light abrasions and minor verdigris.<BR><I>Acquired on 3/25/1984.</B></I> Envelope Included.
