1804 C-6 R2 Spiked Chin. PCGS graded AU-58. Glossy chocolate brown with lustrous lighter steel brown toning covering the protected areas. Traces of very faded mint red show on the reverse. Both sides display a few tiny nicks, none notable. LDS, Manley state 11.0, with a series of strong cud breaks around the reverse legend. The rim before the neck is not fully struck because of the deep cud in the opposing area at MERI. The "Spiked Chin" feature is clear. Our grade is consistent with the slab grade. The attribution and Carvin Goodridge Provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; tied for finest of the variety (#35161).
