<B>1804 $5 Small 8 MS60 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-6443, BD-2, High R.4. The obverse has a bisecting crack from 12 to 6 o'clock, and the reverse has radial cracks at 3 and 10 o'clock that join within the eagle's shield. The T in UNITED is repunched, with the initial T punch perfect. The other Ts in the reverse legend have a missing right foot. This suggests the T punch became defective while repunching the T in UNITED.<BR>This sun-gold early half eagle has pleasing luster and a consistently crisp strike. The central obverse exhibits a few unimportant marks, but the overall look is surprisingly unblemished for the MS60 grade.
