<B>1804 25C AU58 Cleaned, Retoned Uncertified.</B></I> B-1, R.4. The 1804 is less famous than the 1796, and trades for significantly less in all grades, yet the 1804 is clearly the scarcer of the two rarities, particularly in Mint State. The present impressive piece has well struck major devices, although the obverse stars lack centrils and the two highest reverse stars are also soft. Thorough evaluation with the aid of a loupe cannot locate any mentionable marks, but the fields display prominent clash marks.
