There are two die varieties for the 1804, a rare 14 Stars Reverse (this coin is an example) and a very rare 13 Stars Reverse. Both varieties have 13 obverse stars, not surprising since they share the same obverse die. This sharp example exhibits mint-made roller marks on the lower reverse, but is glossy and hairlined from a thorough cleaning. A few moderate obverse marks need no further elaboration.
