1804 10C 14 Stars on Reverse AU50 Corroded, Cleaned Uncertified. JR-2, R.5. The 1804 dime is a major rarity in the series of early U.S. coins struck at the first Mint in Philadelphia. Although collectors always prefer problem-free examples, the rarity and market price of this date will ensure that ready buyers will vie for this piece. It has the sharpness of an AU example with essentially full hair and feather details. Slight peripheral weakness is evident along the left obverse and reverse borders. Lightly corroded gray-brown surfaces have slight evidence of minor repair beneath the artificial toning. Despite the challenges to its condition, this piece easily retains the value of a problem-free VF to XF grade coin.

Coin Engraver: Robert Scot

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
