1804 $10 Crosslet 4 MS61 NGC.
1804 $10 Crosslet 4 MS61 NGC. Breen-6847, B. 1-A, Taraszka-31, R.4. The 1804 is the final year of the type, and is also one of the scarcer issues in the series of Heraldic Eagle Tens. Just 3,757 pieces were originally produced. The striking details of this piece are fairly typical for the issue, with softly defined facial features and bluntness on the interior of the eagle's right wing (facing). The hair curls, however, are better defined than is normally seen and the eagle's breast feathers are almost fully articulated. There are several series of adjustment marks on the reverse, one on the upper portion of that side across the central clouds and stars, while additional clusters are found on the eagle's right wing and diagonally across the shield. Both sides display vibrant luster and lovely reddish accents. Population: 8 in 61, 9 finer (11/03). Important notice: Heritage usually auctions material at the rate of 200-250 lots per hour. On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
