Although this piece does have some minor surface marks on each side, we believe that the ANACS description that this coin is damaged is overly harsh. The obverse clearly shows a rotated double strike, especially visible on Liberty's neck. Also, a clearly visible top and serif of the digit 1 is located on top of the lowest hair curl near the shoulder. In addition, an arc-shaped depression through UNITED STA appears to be a partial or incomplete planchet cutting mark. The surfaces are relatively smooth with pleasing olive-brown color and lighter golden-tan around the devices. EAC 15.
