Sharpness VF35 or better but covered with fine to moderate granularity, strongest along the bottom of the reverse. No marks, just microscopic verdigris in some places and just a touch of wear on the highpoints. Looks like a cent that was lost in an unfriendly environment soon after entering circulation. Very slightly glossy dark olive brown. LDS, Breen state II, with heavy swelling at STA that completely obliterates those letters. Graded VF35 net VG7 by Noyes, his photo #23982. Bland lists this example as VF35 net VG10. A sharply detailed example of a neat die state. Ex J. R.
