1803 S-249 R-2 F12Sharpness VF25 with smooth surfaces and attractive toning, but there are numerous contact marks, and some of them do catch your eye. There is a collection of small nicks in the field before the portrait, a rather strong vertical nick at the upper end of the hair ribbon, a dig at ST in STATES, and two small rim bumps at ME in AMERICA. Glossy brown and light olive blending to light chocolate in protected areas. No hint of corrosion or verdigris. Very rare M-LDS, Breen state V, with a strong cud break connecting RIC to the rim but without a cud at the bust tip. Graded VF25 net F12 and finest of only three known in the Noyes census, his photo #26036.Certificate Number: Pedigree: Ex James R. McGuigan 1/1981-Fred H. Borcherdt Collection
