1803 S-246 R3 PCGS AU Details, CleanedGlossy light olive brown and light chocolate with lighter brown in the fields and protected areas. There are a few small puffs of reddish brown toning on the obverse including one near the hair below the ribbon that contains a speck of verdigris. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth but there are some extremely faint hairlines visible under strong magnification. Sharply struck EDS, Breen state I, before the "Mumps" break at the throat. Graded EF40 and tied for CC#4 in the Bland census. Noyes says EF40 net VF35 and CC#6, his photo #22934. Our grade is EF5 net EF40.
