This supplement set, published by the same Encyclopedia authors, was printed by Budd and Bartram for Thomas Dobson, Philadelphia, 1803. The three volumes run from A-Z and are complete, oversize editions, each. 11&#34; x 9&#34; x 2½&#34; thick. Original marble boards with leather corners and gold-stamped title spines. Light page toning but overall a very clean and bright set. Select topics are illustrated with full-page copper-plate engravings, and topics include architecture, astronomy, carpentry, chemistry, the galvanic theory of electricity, magnetism, and mineralogy, as well as a history of Germantown in Philadelphia, a description of and plate illustrating the Guillotine, a section detainling the French Revolution, and a lengthy history of the United States States.
