<B>1803 $10 Extra Star MS61 NGC.</B></I> Breen-6845, Taraszka-30, BD-5, High R.4. Breen once described this variety as "very rare in Unc." and certainly it is, as any 1803 eagle is rare in Mint State grades. The high watermark price for an example of the Extra Star variety is $57,500 for an AU58 NGC example that sold in our June 2006 auction. In addition to that piece, the present example is the fourth Mint State specimen that we have handled since January 2004. In fact, eight Mint State examples have appeared in our auctions over the years. Rich green-gold surfaces have frosty yellow luster.
