Large Cents 1802 S-241 R1 AU58. Stemless Reverse. Double Fraction Bar. <b>Attractive glossy steel brown and chocolate with lots of frosty golden tan faded down from mint color in the protected areas. There is just the barest touch of light friction on the highest points. The only notable mark is a small chip out of the planchet at the dentils left of the lowest curl, as struck. The surfaces are covered with a very thin coat of lacquer or similar protectant (which could be removed, if desired). EDS, Breen state I. This is the plate coin illustrated in the Breen book. Nicely struck with excellent eye appeal. Listed as AU55 and tied for CC#2 in the Bland census.
