<B>1802 Congressional Publication - <I>Acts Passed At The Second Session Of The Seventh Congress of the United States</B></I>,</B></I> (Washington, D.C., A. & G. Way, Printers, 1805), 30 pages, disbound, 5.75" x 9". This is an original, untrimmed congressional publication that has been removed from its original binding. Beginning on Monday, December 5, 1802, the Second Session was attended by President Thomas Jefferson; Nathaniel Macon, Speaker of the House; Aaron Burr, Vice President and President of the Senate; and Stephen R. Bradley, President of the Senate, <I>pro tempore.</B></I> Many of the acts within the book are signed in type by these men. One act was passed to prevent the importation of certain persons into certain states, where, by laws thereof, their admission is prohibited, while another act provided for the due execution of the laws of the United States within the State of Ohio; another made provisions for person disabled by battle wounds during military service in the Revolutionary War. The book also includes text describing the English and French Convention between the French Republic and the United States of America (in both English and French), the 1802 convention between the United States and Britain, the Treaty between the United States Government and the Chickasaw nation of Indians, and the Treaty between the United States government and the Choctaw nations of Indians are included as well, among other documents describing relations with various Indian tribes. The booklet is in very fine condition; disbound; damage there the cords were torn out; water damage in the lower corners.
