Obv tooled. And yet, like the other 1802 overdate in the sale which also has minor problems, this one too, will attract someone who likes it historic connotations and the fact it is a very scarce early gold piece from the fledgling first United States mint at Philadelphia.
The United States Military Academy was established by an Act of Congress of March 16, 1802, with Jonathan Williams, grandnephew of Benjamin Franklin, appointed as the West Point academy's first Superintendent.
