1802<1C> NC-2, B-7, R.6--Damaged--NCS. Fine Details. VG7 EAC. Tied for seventh finest known, according to Del Bland, and ninth finest according to Bill Noyes who places the grade at a slightly more conservative Good 6. Steel, olive, and tan surfaces with a small patch of heavy abrasions near Liberty's chin, and a small rim bump over the right arm of T in LIBERTY. This is the usual die state for the variety, with an arcing crack through ERTY. Although this rarity has been known since 1924, there are still only 21 examples recorded, with over half in grades of Good or less. A well-pedigreed cent, too.
Ex: Kenneth W.
