1802 10C Fine 15 PCGS. JR-4, R.4. A seldom-seen variety with a mintage of only 10,975 pieces. This is the most frequently seen variety of this scarce year. The obverse is struck from the terminal die state and shows the retained rim-to-rim break that describes an arc from star 7 through BE of LIBERTY. Only a dozen or so examples are believed known with this retained cud. All the coins show lettering within the arc of the die crack, and none are smooth in this area. Weakly struck in the right center of the reverse, as usual. The light gray surfaces are accented with speckled blue and golden-rose toning on each side. A few light marks and old, shallow scratches are consistent with the grade.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
