AU58 Details.</B></I> B-1, BB-231, R.4. <B>This is the Bowers-Borckardt plate coin for the variety.</B></I> Here is an opportunity for the specialist to obtain a rare coin that shows only slight evidence of circulation. Dusky peach and green-gray toning envelops generally smooth surfaces. The luster is diminished by a past moderate cleaning, but this coin is certainly in the Condition Census for the variety and would make a stellar addition to any specialized variety collection. The strike is sharp throughout, and the single set of clash marks are very clear with a loupe with one of the reverse stars touching the lower curl cluster on Liberty, and a strong pocket at her throat from the eagle's wing. On the reverse we note diagonal adjustment marks at about a forty five degree angle down from left to right mostly on the shield.
