1802/1 $1 Wide Date VF30 ICG. B-9, BB-235, R.5. This is an attractive example of the scarcest silver dollar variety of 1802. According to Bowers (1993), there are only 50 to 90 examples that survive. This piece has a pleasingly natural appearance, with good overall detail for the grade. There are a few abrasions on each side, the most noticeable of which is located in the field area just behind Liberty's head, above the hair ribbon. This was the final year that an overdate silver dollar variety was produced, by the Philadelphia Mint, until 1880!

Coin Engraver: Robert Scot

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information\)
