Eagles 1801 Breen-6843. NGC graded Mint State 63. <b>A few minor hairlines scattered here and there, none are more noticeable than the others, none require specificity. However, what does deserve your attention because it is so wonderful and pleasing is the sharply struck reverse. The entire dimension of the reverse jumps out at the viewer with its sharp relief, its ornate detail. Frosty throughout and with full shield and breast feathers. It takes lots of searching before even the slightest weakness can be found -- at one of the upper stars and a few of the clouds! Mintage this year was 44,344. "At a survival ratio of about 2%, nearly 1,000 are around . . ." observes Walter Breen in the encyclopedia by the same name.
