<B>1801 $10 MS60 NGC.</B></I> Breen-6843, B. 2-B, Taraszka-25, R.3. Among early tens, the 1801 has the highest mintage in the series and is surpassed in availability only by the 1799. This fully lustrous yellow-gold example is well detailed throughout and displays the often-seen "spines" in Liberty's cap. A number of scuffy abrasions across the obverse dilute the effectiveness of the luster. As is typical of these early eagles, the reverse is far less prone to surface marks.
