<B>1801 $10 AU53 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-6843, Taraszka-25, BD-2, R.2. One of two varieties for the year. One of the keys that distinguishes this variety from BD-1 is that star 13 almost touches the bust on the BD-2; another is that the upper beak does not quite touch the star beneath on the BD-2, whereas the previous reverse has both upper and lower beak touching a star.<BR> Beautiful canary-gold color adorns bright, relatively clean surfaces that display ample luster, along with exceptionally well delineated design elements. Liberty's hair is bold, as are the eagle's wing and tail feathers. Even the neck and breast feathers are nearly full. A few small marks on Liberty's cheek are not bothersome, and may help to pedigree the coin.
