<B>1801 $10 AU50 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-6843, Taraszka-25, BD-2, R.2. The first star is west of the curl rather than southwest, one way to distinguish BD-2 from the other die marriage for the year, BD-1. Heraldic Eagle ten dollar pieces are under strong demand from gold type collectors, especially when they are as sharp as the present example. The luster has a plum-red tint, and neither side shows any noticeable marks. Expected light wear on the portrait and wingtips is appropriate for the AU level. Many collectors consider this design to be Robert Scot's best.
