Description: Offered for sale in this lot is an 1800s tacked and rawhide covered knife. It was said to have been “found” on a trail in South Dakota, the same trail used by the Lakota's as they migrated back and forth to the north. This is the same trail Sitting Bull and his group would have taken in the late 1800s. Maker: Unknown. Approx. Age: Circa late 1800s. Size: 1-1/4”w. Overall length of 15”. Condition: Pretty good for its age, wear expected and “as found.” Please look closely at the pictures - they are an important part of our description.
