1800's Horned Pig/Cow Mask, has been glued, ''measures 9'' across at base and 16'' across from horn to horn, head is 10''H (not including horns), bust is elaborately decorated in red, white, and blue-black pigments over a yellow base, head has 2 cow horns, one of which is a recycled powder horn, there is cow, horse, or human hair hanging across the top, it apears that there is a hand forged spike (magnet tested confirms metallic), down the center of the protruding nose which acts to secure the nose to the face, there is a crack across the lower left center, loss of pigment in places and numerous handling marks, a rectangular space is carved out of the back side, the eye openings are pierced, {This mask appears to be an example of a Mexican Torito mask with cow horns, animal hair, and a large nose as described by D. Bell in ''Masks Makers..''}, both masks are likely from Central America and worn be dancers in feasts and ceremonies
