1800 S-211 R3 PCGS graded AU53Glossy mix of light to medium brown and light to medium olive. Smooth and attractive but possibly lightly cleaned long ago, now nicely retoned. No marks, only trivial dirt in some protected areas on the reverse. LDS, Breen state VIII early, with an crack meandering through ES in STATES and die rust lumps right of the D in UNITED. Struck 5-10% off center to K-12 (the PCGS label says 5% but it looks like slightly more on the obverse, perhaps a bit less on the reverse). The upper half of LIBERTY is off the planchet but the numerator is on the planchet, just tight to the edge. Graded EF40 net VF30 and tied for CC#4 for the variety in the Noyes census, his photo #62053. Graded VF35 and CC#4 in the Bland census. Our grade is VF30+. A very nice cent, especially impressive with the mint error.Certificate Number: E1449.53/35617849Pedigree: Ex R. L. Miles, Jr., Stack's 4/1969:102-Michael R. Kirzner-Denis W.
