1800 S-202 R4+ PCGS graded AU53Choice glossy medium chocolate brown with a puff of reddish brown toning at the C in CENT. The surfaces are smooth and mint frost covers the protected areas on both sides. A wonderful cent, nearly flawless with very light wear on the highpoints and outstanding eye appeal. LDS, Breen state VII, with die cracks and strong swelling on both sides. A great example of a spectacular die state; most in this die state come in very low grade. The reverse of this cent is plated in the 1991 Noyes reference to show the late die state. Graded EF40 Choice and CC#2 in the Noyes census, his photo #21722. Bland says EF40 and CC#3 in his census. Our grade is EF40++, very close to EF45. A beautiful, very impressive cent.Certificate Number: 36194.53/38205998Pedigree: Ex Charles J.
