1800<1C> Normal Date. NC-4, B-22, R.7--Environmental Damage--NCS. Good Details. Good 4 EAC. Graded AG3 by both Del Bland and Bill Noyes, and recorded as sixth finest of eight known examples in both lists. Very difficult to grade due to the die state, but clearly finer than the Robinson Brown coin that is illustrated in the Breen Encyclopedia, and similarly graded AG3 by both Bland and Noyes. It is a remarkable example with massive rim breaks at the left obverse, covering the entire rim from 7 o'clock to 10 o'clock and extending in to the hair ribbons. The peripheral lettering at the left reverse is absent due to the enormous obverse rim break. A single AU50 example is known, and the next best is a VG7 coin, followed by a couple at the Good grade level, and four in AG.
Ex: Philadelphia Coin Shop; James E.
