Group of approximately 18 documents regarding the transfer of title of five patents in the name of Duncan. The Duncan patents involve a process for treating slimes in ore reduction. In this case, the Goldfield Consolidated Milling and Transportation Company, with George Wingfield as the present president, is extending a declaration of trust and rights of the Goldfield Consolidated to the Desert Power and Mill Company, Montana Tonopah Mine, Nevada Milling Company, Tonopah Extension, Belmont Milling Company, and the McNamara Mining Company. The date on the documents are 1913 and 1914, as well as a number of earlier documents discussing the patents themselves from the 1904 to 1905. The treating of slimes overtime has become more and more important. As technology increases, the mining industry found ways to remove gold once left behind in mill tales and slimes. This becomes critical in the overall cash flow the mining company, when they can recover as much gold as possible. These are important documents from the post 1900 Goldfield mining that show the importance of the recovery of low-grade gold. Date: 1913 City: Goldfield State: Nevada HWAC# 77449
