17th to 18th century painting on canvas laid down on board showing Angel with nude lady and the cherubic Angel is looking to the heavens. The painting measures approximately 21” x 29” and there is some areas of damage, in painting andrestorations. The frame is 19th century and has been refinished. It is our opinion that there was a demonic spirit or figure in the top of the painting which was painted out in the Victorian era or later due to sensitivities. A high qualityearly artwork.
