The menuki are similar to the military pattern, with a mon consisting of 5 circles connected by spokes to a central circle in place of the mum. Very fine. Some light spotting, chips and handling marks are visible on the blade, with a fair state of polish and defined temper line. Mekugi is absent, with some light wear on the fittings. The lacquer is excellent, with a few light handling marks. A very good sword, in a fine untouched state of preservation.
