<td width="100%">
This is a great 17th century relic. It is an earthenware bowl used for holding hot ash. Used to keep warm and commonly used for smokers. You see these in many paintings of the period showing them being used as ashtrays for smokers. This one was dug missing a section of rom/body. It has been restored and it is really hard to tell where the restoration is. It measures about 3 1/4" tall by4" wide. A slight bit of glaze on the inside. A great piece to display with a period pipe. Buyer pays $18.50 priority airmail postage from Europe.
