17th Century Spanish left handed (gauche) parrying dagger, used as a fighting accessory to a rapier sword. 10.5 inch thrusting blade with a quadrangular point. Two deep perforated fullers, as well as two secondary fullers on each side, with a raised midrib. Forward curving decorative silver inlaid iron quillon, with oval ring guard. Quadrangle wire wrapped grip, with braided silver wire ferrules, tapering to a round iron pommel, with raised decorative sterling patterns. Dark smooth patina on blade, quillon, and pommel. Minor chip to blade tip. Grip in very good condition, with minor fraying to wire piping. Overall very good condition.
