<B>1799 S$1 Normal Date VF20 NGC.</B></I> B-6, BB-162, R.4. Die State II. Reiver Die State a. LIBERTY closely spaced with LI slightly low; TA both touch clouds. The bases of AME nearly touch, and a leaf is minutely right of center below the I. This is an earlier middle die state example with traces of a die crack from the bust through the last four stars on the right. The variety is moderately plentiful, although it is not one of the most common die marriages of the year. Considerable violet-gray toning in the fields with splashes of steel and olive color near the borders. The usual small surface marks and faint hairlines are noted on each side. The obverse has some weakened peripheral details.<BR><I>Ex: I.
