<B>1799 S$1 No Berries VF35 NGC.</B></I> B-11, BB-161, R.3. Die State III. Reiver Die State b. LI slightly low; no berries in branch. B-11 and B-12 are the two No Berries varieties. The reverse die was actually used to produce four different die marriages, with the die lapped between uses, causing the berries to weaken on late states of B-16 and all examples of B-23, then disappear entirely on the B-11 and B-12 die combinations. Both sides have pleasing pewter-gray color, with the obverse accented by peripheral sea-green, russet, and steel toning. A few tiny blemishes are seen on each side.
