<B>1799 $1 Irregular Date, 15 Stars Reverse XF40 NGC.</B></I> B-4, BB-153, R.4. As a <I>Guide Book</B></I> subtype, the Irregular Date, 15 Stars Reverse is many times scarcer than the 1799 Normal Date. Only two marriages share the famous blundered 15 stars reverse die, and the other is a 1799/8 variety. BB-153 is also interesting for its late die state, which features a network of obverse die cracks. The present late dies example displays deep cobalt-blue and olive-brown toning.
