<B>1799/8 S$1 15 Stars Reverse--Reverse Scratched--NCS. AU Details.</B></I> B-3, BB-141, R.3. A famous blundered die variety. The engraver entered 15 stars above the eagle, instead of the intended 13. He then attempted to conceal his error by increasing the size of the first and final clouds, extending them over the two errant stars, but the points of each star emerge from the expanded clouds.
