<B>1799 1C VF20 NGC.</B></I> S-189, B-3, R.2. The rarity rating tells of 500 to 1,250 known pieces and the actual population is closer to the low end of this range, perhaps 600 to 700 in all grades. There are also untold altered dates and other reproductions hidden in collections, usually easy to detect. Less than two dozen survivors grade Fine or better.<BR> Desirable olive and dark brown color is intermingled on both sides of this pleasing piece. Light surface abrasions are visible on both sides as usual. The date and LIBERTY are both bold on this piece. One of these elements, usually the date, are weak or missing on most known examples.
