1798 S-176 R4 Style II Hair, Small 8 VF20Sharpness EF40 but there are some rim bruises on both sides, and they have been lightly smoothed to minimize their impact. The rim bruises are left of the lower curls and at both the first and second S in STATES. In addition the field near the rim bruises on the obverse has been smoothed as well. The only other mark is a dull nick in the field before the neck. Sharply struck with very little actual wear. Rare EDS, Breen state II. The vertical crack up from the bust is faint and the reverse is still uncracked. Struck slightly off center to K-7. Graded VF35 net VF20 and tied for CC#9 in the Bland census. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-described.
7. Lots will be available for viewing during the Houston Money Show bourse hours January 17, 2020 and by appointment.
