<B>1798 S$1 Large Eagle, Knobbed 9 VF20 ANACS.</B></I> B-6, BB-96, R.3. Die State V. Reiver State c. Knobbed 9, Line Star Pattern. Five shield lines with a leaf below the center of I in AMERICA. Obverse and reverse dies are both cracked, as described by Bolender as B-6b. A small "bulb" has developed along the crack below star 1. Mostly deep gray with lighter grayish color hidden among the obverse and reverse devices. Hints of olive color are evident on the central obverse and reverse motif. This is a nicely centered example with no evidence of imperfections on either side.
