<B>1798 S$1 Large Eagle, 10 Arrows XF45 ICG.</B></I> B-13, BB-108, R.3. Die State II. Pointed 9, Arc Star Pattern. Die chip between drapery and star 13; reverse star 12 points left of B in PLURIBUS. This is a common variety of the 10 Arrows type, given a separate listing in the <I>Guide Book.</B></I> The obverse has a minor crack or die defect from the border down to the bottom right side of L. This is the earliest known die state for the B-13 dollar, and the state that is most often seen. Some luster remains with generally deep toning on each side. The surfaces have a blend of ivory, gray-brown, and pale blue color.
