Large Cents 1798/7 S-152 R2+ NGC graded About Uncirculated-58 Brown. Overdate Large 8 over 7. <b>Nice glossy chocolate brown with lighter brown toning in protected areas of the reverse. Free of any spots or notable signs of contact. The only flaws are a microscopic lamination or fissure in the planchet from the lowest curl to the dentils under the 7, one from the lips to the Y, and another at the dentils behind the head. These fissures blend nicely into the patina and none catches the eye at all. LDS, Breen state IV. A bit softly struck on the upper right portion of the reverse at OF AM, but everything remains clearly visible. The overdate is bold. A very attractive example of this popular overdate variety.
