<B>Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra <I>The History and Adventures of the Renowned Don Quixote</B></I></B></I> (Dublin: John Chambers, 1796), early Dublin Trinity College edition - the Chambers edition, in four volumes, volume one 407 pages, volume two 459 pages, volume three 466 pages, volume four 459 pages, 8vo (5.5" x 8.75"), bound in full leather with gold stamped decoration. This early addition also includes an account of the author's life by T. Smollett, M.D. The exterior of the books are generally in good condition but do have some wear to the leather at the corners and spines. The hinges have started to crack on several of the volumes and there are traces of dry rot to the leather in small spots. The interior pages are in very good condition with only slight age toning and some light foxing mainly to the title pages.
