<B>1796 1C Draped Bust, Reverse of 1796--Corroded, Burnished--ANACS. Fine 12 Details.</B></I> NC-4, B-23, High R.5. A dark olive-brown piece with maroon tints across the portrait. Evenly struck save for the LI in LIBERTY, which is weaker but legible. The reverse is evenly granular but presentable. The obverse has a glossy, burnished field and minor pitting on the portrait. A sharp example of this elusive die marriage, deemed non-collectible by Dr. Sheldon.
