<B>1796 1/2 C With Pole Good 4 PCGS.</B></I> C-2, B-2, High R.4. Both sides of this glossy dark brown example have light corrosion, the reverse slightly heavier and with slightly darker color. This is a fully acceptable example with fully outlined obverse and reverse details, including a full date and LIBERTY. Among the entire series of business strike half cents from 1793 to 1857, the 1796 is the rarest and most coveted date. The majority of survivors are low-grade and/or damaged. However, this piece is considerably more desirable than the typical example.
