<B>1795 S$1 Flowing Hair, Two Leaves VF20 PCGS.</B></I> B-9, BB-13, R.4. Fourth curl wraps down to third; single tail berry, leaf tip below inner right base of A in STATES. Die State II. Prominent clash marks are visible, especially in the obverse fields. Possibly finer than the certified grade with satiny surfaces and considerable luster. The obverse has light gray color with faint grayish-gold toning and traces of blue around the devices. The reverse is a bit deeper in color with peach toning on the devices and faint traces of luster. A tiny rim bruise is evident at 9 o'clock. All 1795 B-9 dollars have a satiny, matte-appearing texture and a distinctive gray color, suggesting they may all have been struck from the same silver melt. This coin is one of Bill Luebke's favorite 1795 dollars from his collection.
