Glossy light to medium brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints and some chocolate toning in protected areas. Smooth and free of contact marks, the only defects being the usual mint-made planchet chips in the field left of the date and at STA in STATES. The date and legends are clear, including most of HALF CENT, which is usually gone due to failure of the reverse die.
