1795<H10C> VF Details, Improperly Cleaned NCS. V-8, LM-7, R.6. From the same reverse die as LM-6, without berries beneath the left wing. The obverse now has seven curls with star 15 closer to star 14. The obverse has a bisecting die crack from the rim to the left side of T, the forehead, ear, hair curls, and back to the rim below star 1. The surfaces are pale gray with hints of gold and iridescent toning at the borders. This is a splendid example despite minor surface marks and hairlines. This is a rare die marriage that, when seen at all, is apt to be in low grade. Probably only 15 to 20 examples exist today.
Ex: Brigandi Coin Co. (3/1988).
From The William A.
