<B>1795 H10C MS64 NGC.</B></I> V-5, LM-8, R.3. The V-5 is generally available in all grades short of Mint State, and it ranks among the common varieties of 1795. Every 1795 half dime is conditionally rare above MS60. Fully brilliant centers have faint gray tones, especially on the reverse. A thin band of peripheral russet and blue toning creates excellent aesthetic appeal.<BR> The central designs are weak on this piece, as on nearly every Flowing Hair half dime. A die crack nearly bisects the obverse die, beginning at the border over Y, through that letter and the upper right field to Liberty's nose. It seems to disappear, only to begin anew on the cheek, continuing down the neck to the truncation. The intermittent appearance of this crack is a result of less than a full strike.
